The Kyoto Room

he Kyoto Room is our flagship surround sound media room, inspired by our founder Alan’s Japanese heritage. Purpose-built from the ground up using our in-house design software, this space seamlessly blends elegant design with cutting-edge performance.

The room now features a Sony XR-98X90L 98” 4K HDR TV alongside a Barco HODR CS projector with a right-angle lens discreetly housed in a custom-built coffee table, with a Barco Heimdall CS upgrade on the way. A 160” Seymour Screen Excellence acoustically transparent motorized screen delivers a true theater experience.

Audio is driven by a Steinway Lyngdorf MP-60 2.1 processor and Meridian DSP-7200SE floorstanding speakers, supported by four subwoofers—two James Power Pipe in-floor units and two SVS SB16Ultra 16” subs—ensuring deep, precise bass while maintaining an open, uncluttered feel. Content is delivered through a Kaleidescape Strato V with Dolby Vision, and the entire system is fully automated through Savant and Screen Innovations motorized blackout shades, transforming this bright great room into an intimate cinema at the touch of a button. The Redwood Room

The Redwood Room, named after Marin County’s iconic redwoods, is our intimate listening space designed for an immersive, high-fidelity experience. The room pairs Monitor Audio Platinum 300 floorstanding speakers in a stunning Piano Ebony finish with Platinum 100 bookshelf speakers in crisp white, creating a rich, layered soundstage that fills the room beautifully.

Bass performance is anchored by dual Meridian DSW-600 IW active subwoofers paired with DSP-5200SE speakers, delivering deep, precise low frequencies. This system is further enhanced by dual SVS 3000 Micro subwoofers supporting the bookshelf speakers, ensuring balanced bass response throughout the entire space. Hunter Douglas Honeycomb blackout motorized shades cover three large windows, transforming the room into an intimate environment ready for focused listening any time of day.

Control in the Redwood Room is fully unified through a Control4 CA-10 processor and a Savant Pro-host system, providing seamless integration of audio, video, lighting, and shading with the touch of a button. This thoughtful design guarantees that every detail works in harmony, delivering an exceptional music and entertainment experience.
